I'd opt for anything that doesn't have a CVT transmission.

You must not have driven the Murano because the CVT is exceptionally smooth, spectacular and not only that, the newer models have D-Step which simulates a 6 speed under heavy acceleration, which is what you like, and why Nissan engineers made it. Don't let the Nissan name fool you the Murano is inferior to the MDX, it is not. The Murano uses the VQ V6 engine, which is currently on the Wards Automotives Top 10 Best Engines of the World list. Acura not on list. The Murano is the Top Safety Pick PLUS with the Tech Package, and Acura not as highly rated.
