Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why my 02' Chrysler won't shift out of first gear
once in a while

1 Answer

parking brake on....selector in P, pull transmission stick...smell, color should be cherry red...put back in and check level...should be right on the line...slightly higher if HOT~ so be sure that there is Fluid in there and up to the mark on the stick~ if you pull the stick and it's NOT clear, but murky, have the transmission filter changed~ this will require a pan gasket~
