Replaced worn out battery and radio won't work

If it's the factory radio then it probably needs a code entered, these are often the last 3 digits of the VIN (well it is in my wife's Toyota). If you have the owners manual it should provide the steps you need to take to re-enable your radio. Otherwise just google it to find them, I'm sure you're not the first person this has happened to.
