Question type: Maintenance & Repair

96 GMC Sierra 2500 seems to be misfiring
but autozone couldn't find any problem on
scanner and Firestone scan said maybe a
sensor. Also trying to start the truck is very
tough and takes a little bit for ignition to
kick, very rough start! Any help would be
much appreciated!

This sounds like a fuel issue. It would not throw a code. Need to check fuel pressure, it should be 56 to 63 lbs. You want to do a bleed down test with the fuel pressure also.

It may take more than a standard code reader to find the problem, a scanner with live data and freeze frame would really help with the diagnosis on this one. the tech can then see what the ECM is reading in real time.
