Do I have to use an impact to take off crank pulley

8 Answers

Not if you can get it with a strong arm and socket. Impact would be easier.

Ok how do I get it to stop turning. Also, would a air ratchet work?

Well I broke my 1/2 inch extension with my strong arm bro lol..going to purchase air tools.

You need an impact gun, not a ratchet.

Damn it..thanks

Sorry I am working in my garage too, just came in to eat.

Use a 1/2" breaker bar and a chain wrench to hold the harmonic balancer still.

I don't know but what are the chances it is a left hand thread? May want to investigate.
