Do you really need a carpet in a car and why?

I have issue with water leak inside, need to drive a car, no money for repair,
considering to simply take out all the carpet and find the source of leak.

You can take the carpet out but you will get more road noise but that's all.

If you are careful, you may be able to remove it, dry it out and replace it (with new backing) after you find and fix the leak. It only provides comfort and sound / heat insulation.
