Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1997 Ford F-150 v8 4.6 cut off while
driving with smoke coming out then I drove
to store after getting it cranked put two
quarts of oil cause it was low drove home
with a clacking noise going on and it cut
off again as I was turning the corner. Now
it won't start at all any suggestions?

Hate to give you bad news but the main or rod bearing are bad or may have thrown a rod.

How do You change them?

If it throw a rod needs a new engine if just needs main and rod bearing engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
