Problem wit my 1999 tahoe

I step on the gas pedal n it won't go over 25mph
wat could be the cause

Doe it bog down when you hit the gas? Is the check engine light on? The car may be in limp mode or have a plugged up catalytic converter. It could be a lot of things but you don't give much information to go on.
