99 Chevy venture not accelerateing right

I have a 99 Chevy venture wher . I turn it on it
some times starts to choke n feels like it's
gonna die out and and when I'm
accelerateing it takes a long time to get to
the speed limit when accelerateing I push
the pedal down n the van starts to slow
down but when I release it slowly it gains
speed again but slowly what can it be ?????

Sounds like your cat converter is deteriorating and plugging the exhaust flow.
