98 jimmy turns over but doesnt start
I have a 98 gmc jimmy with 4.3. Has throttle
body injection. It turns over but doesnt start.
The fuel pump is kicking on, ive replaced the
pickup coil, starter, and plugs. It ran just fine
yesterday and wont start today. Please help,
Still would check the fuel pump pressure, it should be 56 to 62 lbs. Also do a bleed down test, if it looses more than 5 lbs in 3 minutes, then it is an indication of the regulator, spider lines, or injectors that are leaking. If you squirt some starting fluid down the air intake or some gas and it fires up, then you have a fuel issue.
Thank you! I just got it fixed. The rotary cap had a hairline crack in it. Once we replaced it, it fired right up.
