I have a 72 Ford F-150 carbureted it idles fine but when trying to drive it up the road about thirty it skips and goes dead and will crank back up still rolling after a few times it won't crank
Have you changed the fuel filter lately?
Start checking your electrical connections, main powers and grounds first then move on to the other systems, make sure you have a good breaker plate ground and the condenser isn't breaking down under load.
Check all the plug wires and coil wire. A good way to check the plug wires is to run the engine in total darkness with the hood raised and look for any signs of arcing or sparking. Also as Tennisshoes said, check battery connections and look at the points and condensor. Consider replacing them with electronic ignition conversion parts.
Thanks guys gonna try these things today and let you know how it goes
