Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Alternator/regulator was tested by professional tech company and was OK.  Charging light is till on while driving.  May go out after approximately 10 miles of driving.  Battery has been replaced.  Why is charging light still on?

The light will remain on if the battery is not accepting a charge. Even if the alternator and regulator are good. I suspect cables, ground to block or bad terminals. Sometimes a cable will look fine, but can be weak where terminal attaches to cable, especially if they are original .... 32 years old
