My car heats up at idle, AC stops working however when driving at normal speeds the car returns to normal termperature and AC returns, any ideas? help

Make sure the radiator fans are working and your radiator cap is tight As simple as it sounds I had someone whose radiator cap had only one side holding .. put it on straight ... problem gone
