I'm tying up a motor swap where someone put a California edition motor in a non California edition 95 3000gt and have some questions.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So far I see that there are components
missing on the rack in the firewall, the
throttle body is different, vacuum wise, (I
have the other tb still though, and there are
four 02 sensors for which I have only one
plug and the ecm from the Cali car has one
more plug input then the one in the Fed car.
I have both ecm's but no wiring. What I want
to know is can I swap the tb's, remove all
the extra emission crap and just run one 02
sensor and leave the others disconnected?
Not worried about smog, just operation.

Yes. You will be fine. If you have an 02 sensor on each bank ... but the Calif emissions package has an extra 02 sensor on each bank, but will not affect performance, as long as the A/F sensor is there. The ECU will compensate, by going to a default if it can't figure out what else to do. The vacuum routing is different with the Calif package but that mostly means capping or plugging some.
