When i put antifreeze in my 92 crown victoria should the car be started or off??

put in some to big it up to ykr top of the rad/can engine off the start and check for thermostate to open then top off....or, just start it and fill it up..make sure the thermostate opens an you top off... so started or off..if theres antifreeze in it and its just low...same applies..
