I have a 2010 Ford Taurus sel and last night the temperature light came on and the gage went to hot. I do not see a leak of coolant or water. i put coolant in it drove to work np. Now it's hot again

Could be stuck thermostat,if thermostat is good check the water pump.

Would that be explain the jerking a lil like the car wants to cut off
