It is possible a belt came off and the battery voltage got low enough to make it quit running. Does it turn over when you try to start it or does it sound like it is cranking slowly?

It gradually died... and the sound was more like a slapping like when u dont have enough oil... it is at the dealership now... they are not sure what happened, b7t feels it was internal and thru a rod...

It was a Ford = Fix Or Repair Daily. NOW you have an excuse to bust a move with a new or preowned quality vehicle from Japan! Rock out with a Toyota, Mazda, or Nissan!!!
