New Tires = Wobbly Car

Question type: General

I realized last Fall I should get new tires for my 2011 Corrola.  I opted to get 2 "winter"
tires on the front end.  After those were put on, the car seemed less, I don't know,
stable, unbalanced maybe.  Within the last month or 2, I put two regular tires on the
rear and now when I have had to stomp on the brakes, or almost stomp, the car feels
like its weaving back and forth.  Its weird.Did the places where I got the tires maybe
not do an alignment or should I get a 4 wheel alignment? Thanks in advance.

I would take it back to where you got the tires and have them recheck their work. If they are a good shop they wont have any issues doing so.

Also most shops will recommend installing all 4 winter tires vs 2, as you will get some instability like you are describing. Best not to mix.

Well hell. GoodYear failed to mention I should just go ahead and get 4 winter.
