Will the transmission from a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee work in a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited? Both have 4.0 motors & 3 speed automatics with over drive

I found out that a Grand Cherokee will Not work..it has to be another Grand Cherokee Limited Transmission all wheel drive.
