Radio saying phone?

Is your phones Bluetooth on? It may be trying to connect to your deck. Also for resetting the deck: It may have an option in the settings to do so. (I know nothing about your particular head unit) Some have an internal battery. Hope that helps or at least points you in the right direction.

I have the same issue with my 2009 galant. Is it the radio or does this vehicle have a hands free module?

I have a 2010 Endeavor and it just started doing the same thing all of a sudden. What is weird is that I can drive home from work and it doesn't happen at all and then other times it starts half way through my ride, then other times right off the bat it starts. The separate battery thing sounds like something to explore further to me.
Our car is stuck with phone on the screen I cannot play music as it is stuck I have tried to disconnect the battery and let it sit for 45 mins. This didn't fix the issue.i tried to put a CD in and it went I but didn't change to CD unfortunately. Just started today :(
Anyone ever figure this out? My daughter's car is doing this.

sorry no, please post if you figure it out.
2019 Fix !!!!!! My 2010 Mitsubishi Galant se was doing the same thing with the phone every 30 secs turns on the display but it will work once in a while or if I hit a bump it will go away . The Handsfree is malfunctioning and needs to be REPLACED ! Best thing to do to get audio back is to disconnect the Bluetooth device Next to The Blower motor behind the Glove box . A black box with one connection Next To your Amplifier is the Module . Remove the Amplifier bolt and disconnect the connector with needle nose pliers if your hands can’t fit ♂️ ..... You can think handyman Dan
Are there any pics or a wire DIAGRAM - and OMG Handyman you are a lifesaver! I have a 2009 Ralliart and it JUST recently started doing this ! I am also considering using the same OEM Rockford AMP with an aftermarket head unit but the concerns are immense - that along with the worry of loosing the steering wheel controls. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback I'd be eternally grateful. Also to stay on topic - I have looked to see if I can find the part number for this module - I found this TSB that may be helpful. =) http://mmc-manuals.ru/tsb/MMNA/tsb1254012.pdf
12/2019 UPDATE! after weeks of unsuccessfully attempting to remove the cable harness from the Bluetooth device as explained by handyman DAN - I resorted to a lesser painful route. - found this pin-out: https://pinoutguide.com/images/upload/pinout_1175616808_5u67-pinout.jpg I noticed that pin #14 said "TELEPHONE MUTE" - removed the cable from the harness and no more "PHONE" muting the audio. In the process I ordered the a 3.5mm cable adapter to get Aux working on the radio. Under normal circumstances after installing the cable on pins 2 - 3 - 13 (Lch, GND, Rch - respectively) in the same 22pin harness - you should only hold CD for 3-5 secs and it should automatically switch to AUX. If it does not - the work around for this is: 1. Turn off radio by pressing the left knob 2. **hold** either - left #1 station/CD or right #6 station/CD 3. while holding #1 or #6 press pwr on by pushing the left knob 4. your radio should now say AUX. It took me a little while to make this work - if your radio just does not want to cooperate - you can disconnect the head unit for a few hours and then reconnect everything and try all the steps. This way the Head Unit's memory will reset =). I connected everything to a Bluetooth receiver and i have discovered a newfound love for my car and stereo. Good luck to everyone!
FiX. Hands-free module Located behind glove box on the right side of ventilation fun. Place is very narrow. One with big hands barely rich there. But if you can rich there there there are two options. 1. Disconnect socket by pressing small pin in the center of socket or unscrew module completely(2 screws). For me unscrew was easier. It fixes the issue with phone mode always on. Mitsubishi endeavor
Quick and easy solution. pull radio out of dash. unplug connector on passenger side of radio. cut wire on pin #14. it is the blue wire with a black stripe on bottom row of wire connector. plug connector back and reinstall radio. All should be working fine accept you will no longer have blue tooth in you vehicle.

Guru9CRVR8 was right! Been fighting this for months. I tried to get the wire out of the connector but couldn't. I figured I'd post a pic in case other's were having the same problem.
I can attest in 2023 disconnecting pin 14 in the hands free module works, and if it doesn’t at first, reconnect the pin then disconnect again until it does work
This is a problem for all 2009-2011 Mitsubishi’s because of outdated Bluetooth technology
