does a 2000 ford explorer have external voltage regulator
I HAVE A 2000 FORD EXPLORER XLT THAT I JUST PUT A NEW ALTINATOR IN AND
IM NOT GETTING VOLTS TO MY BATTERY. IT IS RUNNING OFF THE BATTERY
ONLY NOT THE ALTINATOR LIKE IT SHOULD.WHAT AM I MISSING
Put a volt meter on your alternator. See what it's putting out for volts. You may have gotten a dud. Should be around 14. Also put your volt meter on the battery with the engine off. See what it's got for volts. Your battery may be shot and just not holding a charge.
