(upper and lower). The temp gauge still
goes up returns down to below the center
periodically when I'm driving. Can you
please tell me what could be the problem?

It sounds like there is air in the system. Did they use a vacuum type coolant machine to fill the new radiator? if not then there is probably air trapped. Now days you can't really "bleed" they system anymore. So you have to pull a vaccum on the cooling system then fill by switching the vacuum to liquid fill on a coolant flush machine. I would ask them how they refilled your coolant

At first, the belt went and so I replaced that, then my son drove it and the compressor froze and has never started since. He drove it to my drive and there it died. So I had to replace the compressor and then it did not even turn over it was completely dead. The battery is only 2 months old. So then I went to the started. One replaced it did turn over. I then got a computer from Autozone and the code said the alternator and that is why I replaced it. So again it only turns but no ignition. So that is why I checked the plugs and the fuel pump because there is no fire. But the fuel pump is pumping fuel. So all the parts have been replaced as a process. I am now reaching 2 Answers

my '96 nissan pickup started running hot and I was not losing fliud. The fan comes on, the oil is not milky so I changed the thermostat. The first day I drove it and ran it for a total of 25 minutes. Temp was fine. Second day drove for 10 minutes and ran hot. Drained and flushed radiator ran hot again after 10 minutes. After it cooled, I did have some water loss.
