Also believe the vap cover is leaking
so gas mileage is horrible. I've gotten
the price to 1,800, is it a steal or no

Too many unknowns to tell you if it is. Car is worth around $3400 PP. Have a mechanic look it over for you to get some free quotes on how much to repair. Might be other hidden items that need attention.
