1971 Ford F350 custom with the 390 engine. just had the points and timing adjusted and
tuned. happened after a twenty mile freeway drive. I noticed the popping and sputtering
as I was exiting the freeway. Also, she seems to be operating fine just loud.

How old is muffler? It doesn't have a cat, so no worries there but sounds like a plain old worn out muffler. I have '76 with a 390 and have gone through maybe, geez I don't know maybe 8 mufflers and that is exactly what happens
