1997 Dodge 2500 has no power barely goes 65mph. will not go up hill. truck is constantly shifting down. just had plugs and wires replaced.

At times truck won't idol. can be
driving and let off gas to apply brake
to slow down for stop sign and rpms
go right to zero and truck will die.
cranks back up but requires giving it
gas

Check fuel pressure and flow, check Idle air valve for plugged ports and proper operation, make sure throttle body is clean and adjusted properly, exhaust system may have too much back pressure. Have you checked for codes? It may have something in memory that will give you a place to start.
