rather than a long explanation here, I would get a Haynes or Chilton manual and also check it out on you tube. great vids on the subject there.


you are planning on replacing it with any update GM has for it...right? I think it is worth a call to them about it to see if your car is like some of them lately. There could be as simple as a recall, or as complex as cleaning connections and running a few tests first.


They can tell if it is involved in any of the campaigns or whether the part was updated for your safety.
