The truck still starts and runs and there no
difference in the way it runs..Did I catch it in
time with oil before it got bad or is it on its

low oil may have kicked up some grit but was always lubed enough or it would have thrown a rod real quick , run engine cleaner and change oil ,should be better than was

I appreciate the advice will do that..I have been driving it on and off for7 days now so I'm glad I didn't screw anything up and I hope this makes this tapping go away.thank you

1998 beetle. Went for oil change. As soon as they completed it my check engine light came on. They checked code, was some emmissions code. Okay so the light goes out 2 days later. A few days later the car wont start, like it is out of gas, it's turning but not catching. I let it sit for 1/2 hr then it starts and the engine light back on. Everything fine for a few days then the same thing happens out of the blue. Just happened again to me. Car was fine, no light on then i go somewhere, park it, get back in and it wont start like its out of gas...let it sit for half hour and then it starts like nothing was wrong and the engine light back on now. how do i fix my drive by wire i have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 4 door truck and it cuts out on me while driven can i have it reprogrammed or do i have to buy a new unit for iti know when i drive down the road and it cuts out and i pull over to rerstart it wont start unless i turn the key all of the way off and back on to the on position only and push on the gas pedal down and then let it back up it will start rite back up that is the way to reset the throttle and it does work but there has to be a point when it is not gunna work anymore so what do i do 4 Answers
