2006 DODGE CHARGER 5.7 L V8 Engine replacement?

Asked by Oct 03, 2014 at 01:15 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The number 5 and and 7 pistons aren't
firing, due to a crack in the radiator which
caused fluid to run out. Can this be fixed
without replacing the entire engine?

That will not be known until the heads are off so the cylinder bores can be examined, if the block bores are blue then it means an engine replacement, if the block is ok then the heads might be the only thing damaged. This can get expensive really fast.
