on a Chevy cavalier why would the antifreeze be trying to overflow back up through the resivour instead of being sucked down and allowed to run through the motor and letting it cool the motor

Stuck thermostat, air pocket in the cooling system, blown head gasket.


Do you see white smoke coming from the tailpipe once the car is "hot" running down the road ? If you do then it is a blown head gasket, if not yet then replace thermostat and pray no damage has been done yet.
