I have 91 Subaru Legacy Turbo that needs a transmission replacement. I heard they are spendy. Are there any other Subaru's with the same transmission? 2 Answers

I need to get this fixed, and I was told by a mechanic that it would be a lot to replace a transmission...wondering if there is a way somehow that would be cheaper.

I appreciate that I can use this site to research cars that I am interested in. Especially the car history like if it has been a prior rental or fleet car. (Knowing I will never buy a previously leased or previous rental car. However, there are dealerships who have former rental/leased vehicles that they sell and do not disclose this detail. hey guys Im about to but this 2008 chevy tahoe 4.8 v8 engine, the car had one owner who is an American football trainer so the guy traveled alot where he ended up putting 300,000 miles on the car. Itook it to a mechanic we checked it out with the computers and manually plus test driving it and the car had no problems at all except for the engine light being on and the problems were three things evap pressure sensor,oxygen sensor,and the fuel pump sensor other than that and the 300,000 miles the car is perfect plus he is asking 5000 for it.So my question is do you think i will have any problems with this car after i fix those three issues ? and will the car last me for 500,000 if i take good care of it? 2 Answers
