RE:Sales Tax issues. If I were to purchase an auto in California and bring it to Arizona, my home residence, will I need to pay taxes in both states?

No, you will be required to pay taxes in the state you register the vehicle.

I did the exact same thing 2 years ago. I live in New Jersey and bought a car in North Carolina. When I paid for the car and picked it up I did not pay sales tax. Then when I titled and registered it in New Jersey I paid sales tax to New Jersey only. HTH. -Jim
