2008 chevy silverado 5.3L died while driving. Tried starting up and will run for few seconds normal then sputter and die. If immediately try turning over it will only crank.

If wait few minutes it will start and do
same thing. But have found if
disconnect purge valve vacuum line it
will crank and start immediately. Any
suggestions??

There is a solenoid on the evap canister that goes bad and causes these type of issues, it is located on drivers side under the bed just behind the cab. if you look up on the net you will find further detail and descriptions.
