how do I check radiator for air pockets on my 94 lincoln mark 8

I read in my Chilton book when my car keeps overheating ut it doesn't tell me how

Remove radiator cap when car is cool,make sure it is full of fluid,crank and run car until it heat,s up to running temp,when you see water start to circulate,add water if needed,then replace cap,this should flush air out of the system.
