Question type: Shopping & Pricing

how do you determine the monthly payments that you have listed

You'll have to contact the seller/dealer directly. An actual monthly payment will be factored on how much the purchase price is, the interest rate, trade-in if any, length of loan and amount.

CarGurus does not participate in that, only list. Strictly between you and seller and finance company. Many variables. The agreed upon price of the vehicle, how much you put down, and your credit score dictates interest, a fair score of say 700, will get you maybe 8%,... length of term, 60 months (5 years)...36 months (3 years)...all factor in. If you are referring to an add that says $XXX a month, be careful. They will surprise you with their demands to get that payment.

Well Tom, we were answering at the same time...but seems we agree
