2001 Cabrio only has first and reverse gear? What could be the issue?

The cabrio is an automatic. When you put it in drive, you can feel it engage, but it won't
move. 2nd gear, if you race the motor, it will pull a little. It will run in first and reverse.
Transmission fluid is full.
