i have a 1991 ford tempo gl.it will only run if you hold the key in start position
i was told to change the electrical part of the switch whic i did. still have the problem. by disconnecting the starter selenoid and using a remote starter switch it will run after starting it but kills when placed into drive or reverse. what could be causing it to kill?
Sounds like a bad ignition switch. HTH. -Jim
