I have a 2007 f 150 andwas told the axle bearing is done onthe rear end of an 8.8 what is the diff from an axle bearing and a wheel bearing

All the same part, just another term. Since your truck is rear wheel drive, it utilizes and axle, so it's an axle bearing.
