We're looking to buy a second car, but we'll only need it for 16 months (moving out of the country). We want a 5-door hatchback and are willing to spend 6-8k. We've looked at a Golf, A3, Focus and Fiesta, but are struggling to decide. Seeing as we'll only have it for 16 months, we want something that will sell easily, but we also want the best value for money. Any suggestions?

Why not lease a used vehicle for 18 months? There are independent leasing companies out there that will lease older models for much shorter terms than a new car dealer. HTH. -Jim

Thanks for the advice. I've tried to find companies that do short term leases, but haven't had any luck - can you suggest any companies? I'm more than happy to lease a used car if it'll be cheaper than buying.

Google "18 month car lease" several companies will pop up such as flexilease. They offer 18 month leases. HTH. -Jim
