TURN ON THE KEY AND NO LIGHTS OR NOISE.

No...the connection to ground is corroded..(probably from all the SALT they are usin' on the roads in the midwest...lordy how they just have MOUNTAINS of salt ready to destroy your body and undercarriage)....California is the way to go here~....what you must do is find the end of the cable that connects to the chassis/fender ground....unbolt this and wirebrush the lug...wirebrush that space where the lug bolts too...and the bolt too....or use a NEW bolt to establish a solid 300 amp cold cranking amp potential.....once again a WIREBRUSH....the 1/0 black cable's lug end...(not the clamp end, we got that already) because it will corrode itself with a blue spark and high demand...creating a brown-out condition...in your case a BLACKOUT condition...we okay with this?~

okay, if the car was reverse-jumped we will have subsequent damage....starting with the "fusible link" or five of them on some cars...the 300 amp MEGA fuse too...then the Alternator six-diode pack....ooooof it gets ugly...let's look up...maybe god's up there and is gonna make sure it's going to be okay~

Are you sure the battery is not in backwards?
