dealer claims left side bank 2 cat needs replaced to make engine light go off

engine light started coming and going  three months ago now is on all the time on my 05
nismo frontier 190,000miles engine runs great  dealer claims bank 2 cat is failing

is he meaning plugged? if so after running it for a long time look to see if its glowing red hot. when they are plugged they get RED hot. also would have it scanned at your nearest autozone for a free scanning to compare.hope this helps
