Do you recommend Durashield and Teflon paint protection on a new vehicle?

Asked by Jan 15, 2014 at 10:36 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got a new Mazda CX5.  I am considering having the dealer add partial hood and fender Durashield and also considering Paint Protection (teflon coating).  Do you have any thoughts or reviews on these?

Don't waste your money! Keep it washed and wax it twice a year with a high quality wax. Have it detailed annually. Your paint will hold up just as well, maybe better. The key to paint longevity is cleanliness. HTH. -Jim
