If the speed sensor is experiencing problems, the vehicle's on-board computer may have problems interpreting the information..A vehicle speed sensor with problems can cause the torque converter clutch to function improperly and produce cruise control errors.

not having any of the above problems. But i have no odometer all other light up but no odometer.would that sensor cause my problem ?

No, the speed sensor has nothing to do with it. A common problem with these vehicles is one or some of the components on the electrical circuit board for the gauge cluster burn or looses a contact/connection. You can replace the whole board or try to have it repaired....http://www.gminstrumentcluster.com/gm-cluster-repair/gm-cluster-repair-vehicle-years-03-07/pontiac-instrument-cluster/aztec/
