the heater does not get hot

Asked by Nov 11, 2013 at 09:29 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The 1996 Ford F150's heater will not get hot.  It only blows cold air.

1 Answer

Coolant level too low, restricted heater hoses, plugged heater core, or the blend door is not switching to the heat side of the box. Stuck open thermostat could cause a low heat problem but not a no heat problem.
