Not starting

My 97 Pontiac firebird formula v8 lt1
automatic is not starting. Brand new
battery just drove it hr ago went to
start it n I have no starter turn no
idiot lights comin on...is it ignition
switch???

if you have lights ,you got battery, then you answered it ,the switch or the rod it connects to down the steering Colum, jimmaaaah!

To 7jimmy7........can a locksmith fix the rod with a new key ignition tumbler??
