What problems do Pontiac Fiero's have often? Are they reliable? And is it good for a first time driver?

They weren't all that reliable when new, and being a 25 year old car now, I'm going to say no. They had plenty of issues since the engine was in the rear of the car and things got hot back there. Plug wires burning up. Insurance will be higher for you due to 2 seats. I'd look at something else.
