Our 2000 toyota tacoma pick up bogs and sputters once in a while, mostly after it has been driven, parked for a short while and driven again. It's scary, you can press the excellerator and nothing happens. We have to pull over to the side of the road, it will sputters for a while, and eventually it goes again. we just had it serviced and looked at, nothing came up in the diagnosic check aside from it running a "little rich", what ever that means. All plugs and wires were changed, sensors have been checked and seem to be okay, even our mechanic is at a loss of what it could be. It doesn't happen all the time, after it was serviced it hadn't happened for like 4 weeks and we thought it was fixed but it just happened twice this weekend. The idle on the truck is also kind of iffy...we have to rev the engine alot when we start it up, it seems like if we don't do that, it will die out on us. Any answers? 3 Answers

I bought this jeep Cherokee 4x4 Hemi, someone installed a lift kit on it. The problem is : It started getting a flashing low tire which I checked the tire pressure and they are fine, Yesterday I was driving around 35mph and the car sort of jumped while a bing sounded. so I pulled over and shut off the car. Was rolling in 5th gear going 60, heard aloud screeching noise and it threw us forward in the seat and slowed it immediately to about 40.I pulled off to the side of the road and smoke was coming from under the truck.I looked around and couldn't see anything visibly wrong.I started it up again just fine and started rolling in 1st gear, then I tried to shift to 2nd the truck just stopped and wouldn't go into any gear.At this point the truck will start but when I let the clutch out, it dies(in neutral). Had to remove my drive shaft to be towed on towrope because it wouldn't roll smooth in neutral. When the engine is running now I don't feel any vibration through the gearshift anymore like how I used to before it broke down. What could it be? 3 Answers

i have a 2005 bmw x5 3.0, in the morning i drove about 2 miles. after a little while I started the car but wasnt even a cranking sound, then i jump start it and drove about a mile to get home. i stop the car, in morning i try to start again, in the first turn nothing happened, tryed again and it started, but i drove like about 8 mils and it was dead. while i was driving the battery sign was blinking. Then i jump start again and drove for another 4 mils to a parts store. They checked the battery and said it is fine, but the machine says 9.8 - 10 low but good, then we try to start it but it was in starting, so he jump start it agin and i drove about 15 miles, then i shut off, and restart few time, without any problem, but after a little while the alarm go of by itself. According to the Mechanic, it's the alternator or the starter. Can you please help me with it, which one you think it is alternator, starter or battery?? 4 Answers
