How can I fix my hatchback on 2000 jeep cherokee that wont open?

I have replaced battery and power locks and everything else works but the trunk will not open. There is no outside key entry to trunk unfortunately so is there an inexpensive fix?

gonna have to pull the trim panel off. and adjust rod going to latch.
