I haven't personally hauled many kayaks- aren't they kinda aerodynamic? Last time I hauled something, my bike rack fell off the back of my car because I hadn't attached it securely enough- the straps let me drag my bike 2 miles down a gravel road while I had Pink Floyd turned all the way up on my stereo, all happy an' everthin'- the rack should work but the attachin' may be the trick- try it- buena suerte
