No check engine light, just the misfire. You are probably right though, hopefully a COP, but because no light I think it might be the PCM. Any suggestions on a quick troubleshoot to determine which?

I have a 1985 Celica GT-S convertible. It has power locks that started locking themselves about three weeks ago. After I got out of the car I would come back and the car would be locked. While driving they will auto lock. There is no remote used on the key chain. Coincidently my altenator failed this week. I had it replaced but my locks are still possessed. Do not want them to kill new altenator. Is there a fuse I can pull to disable the power locks as I don't use them anyway? 4 Answers

I am having a problem with my 2015 Equinox stalling during takeoff and when going into reverse. And now it’s doing this while driving any time it wants to! And the ‘check engine’ light comes on intermittently. I had AutoZone test the car. Within 5 seconds they had an answer! The trouble was these codes: P0010, P0011 & P0011. In other words, the problem was with the Position Actuator Circuit or Engine Variable Timing Solenoid Intake. Auto Zone has the part at just $43. Questions: Has anybody else had this trouble? My 2014 Hyundai Tucson has idled poorly since purchased new. It has been in the shop multiple times and until the visit a few weeks ago nothing was done. The throttle body was cleaned on the last visit and that has helped but it is getting back to its old self slowly. I have the car parked at my office from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day and as soon as I get in the car and make it to the first traffic light it is idling down really hard like it is about to turn off. It has also lost power when crossing intersections and skips or whatever it is doing going down the road. I don't understand why a car that was purchased in June of 2014 and is not even a year old would need the throttle body cleaned. Anyone out there experiencing these problems? The cloth seats in this car are also horrible and become stained by rain water while putting groceries in if it is raining. Thank God I purchased the warranty on the seats. Thanks! 5 Answers
