2001 nissan maxima blows main 40 amp window fuse, will work once or twice then blow.

Install an amp gauge where the fuse would go and run each window separately and watch the amp gauge, the one that shows a high amperage is the window to check, it could be a bad motor, the regulator, dry window tracks, you won't know until you get in there to see.
